Call for Participants: Seminar in Ključ, Bosnia-Herzegovina




Dear friends and colleagues,

Armenian Progressive Youth (APY) NGO is looking for participants for a seminar "Sharing common understanding – debating diverse practices: Put to test European Citizenship Education and Youth Participation" that will take place from 23 of March, 2012 to 31 of March, 2012 in Ključ, Bosnia-Herzegovina. 


Content and aim
The main aim of this seminar is to support the professional development of project leaders and coordinators, trainers and youth workers through the exchange working experiences and strategies of NGOs working with youth within the field of European Citizenship Education and Youth participation. 

The objectives of the seminar are:
·         To critically reflect about the role and relevance of European citizenship, participation and volunteering in youth work
·         To reflect experiences, approaches, used concepts and concrete tools, based on non-formal education with a special focus on those projects and activities which were implemented since 2007
·         To support capacity and partnership building and to contribute towards inventive and high quality projects by exploring diverse working methods and strategies
·         To acquire competence in dealing with the Youth in Action programme and to equip the participants with the knowledge and competence necessary to make use of it.

The venue, Ključ
Ključ is a small town and municipality by the same name in western Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the bosniak-croatian Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifically the Una-Sana Canton. The name of the municipality translates to "key”, which remembered his military and economic position in medieval times. Ključ is located south from Sanski Most and Banja Luka in the north. In the city are living 7.000 inhabitants. 

Accommodation and Catering
Boarding & lodging will be provided, accommodated in the guest house D.O.M. Zvizda, Gardijske bb, Ključ

Travel costs
We will reimburse 70% of the travel costs for the Training course on the basis of the cheapest possibilities, e.g. second class railway tickets, APEX-flights etc.
